The Experience

Before You Go

Dress in layers

Coastal winds can change temperature quickly—bring a windproof outer layer even on mild days.

Watch for wildlife

Slow down and give moose, foxes, or birds a wide berth—guides will point out likely sightings.

Carry hydration and snacks

Even on a short, easy tour you’ll burn energy; bring a refillable bottle and use provided snacks at the stop.

Wear closed-toe shoes

Pedaling comfort and foot protection matter on mixed paved and packed-surface sections.

Local Knowledge

Hidden Gems

Conservation Note

Westchester Lagoon and nearby wetlands are managed as a bird sanctuary and salmon habitat; stay on designated trails and pack out trash to protect spawning runs.
